Pine Study 05 - ink on paper 18x12

In this study, I added a pine cone - something I haven't done for years.  It's like renewing old friendships.

The color balance on this photo is a little too blue/green.  There is a storm coming and the light was not good.  I'll retake this later if it seems appropriate.

I added color to an ink study of two palm trees and the scrub cedars on the marsh. Study was done quickly for effect not detail. I like the effect, so I signed and dated the pieces.

This sketch / impression is of a grove of palm trees and scrub cedar that can be seen in the distance from the service road beneath the Beach Boulevard ICW bridge. The stateliness and solidarity of these palms was what attracted my attention.

I did another quick study of palm trees from near our house on the salt marsh. Image is with sepia acrylic ink on sumi paper.

I have signed this piece, which means I think it's good enough to hang.
